Our most recent development release of the DCS has enabled authentication using EZproxy. This will enable HEIs who currently use EZproxy as their main authentication system to join the community of DCS users and reap the benefits of the streamlined system, providing students with greater access to content.
Other authentication systems that are already integrated with the DCS include Shibboleth and Open Athens. This is in addition to using IP authentication when on campus.
We intend to continue improving the DCS’s authentication experience through the introduction of WAYFless links. This should give a smoother journey for students using links off-campus and enable them to get quick and easy access to the valuable content they require, wherever and whenever they need it.
We are continuing to develop the DCS to make copyright simple for HE librarians, and to make access to content easier for academics and students, so keep up to date with our developments by following our dedicated Higher Education blog.

About the Digital Content Store
The DCS is an optional innovative rights, technology and content platform for Higher Education developed by CLA together with HEIs, publishers and technology partners.
The DCS has at its core, a searchable repository of PDF extracts created by HEIs and a workflow management tool. When extracts are digitised by HEIs under the CLA Licence, they are uploaded directly to the DCS. Once an extract is uploaded and assigned to a course, students are able to access the extract via a secure link to the content held in the DCS.
