CILIP conference The CILIP conference has long provided the information community with vital support, insight and upskilling opportunities. With its focus on the theme of leadership, this year’s conference will bring together established, emerging and aspiring leaders to explore the challenges and opportunities the sector currently faces. CLA’s bursary places are open to those at licensed organisations, and to someone who is a student, new to the profession or without the financial means to cover the ticket. CLA recognises the vital role that conferences can offer aspiring or emerging leaders, and it is our mission to make these opportunities available to all those who are passionate about information literacy, regardless of background. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have never been to the CILIP Conference before, and who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to go. Three bursaries are available and applications should fall into one of the following sectors: Schools or FE Public (NHS, public library, govt etc) Private (commercial, industry etc) Once awarded, successful bursary recipients will document their approach and time at the conference to share their insights with the wider community. They will also be expected to produce a summary report, due in August. I think it’s important to start here – it was a privilege, and I would not have been able to attend this event without a bursary such as the one I got. So, to everyone at CLA, thank you.
