Your CLA Pharmaceutical Licence allows you to photocopy, scan and digitally use certain material published in the USA.
Specific Inclusions/Exclusions
The Terms of the Pharmaceutical Licences have changed. For all new licences from 1 February and renewals of existing licences from 1 April 2011 the following terms will apply for US repertoire. - US repertoire included under your CLA licence for scanning from print and digital use is limited to titles in the US CCC Electronic-Rights Works repertoire.
- Your CLA licence will now only allow you to scan a US printed work if an electronic copy is not readily available from the publisher.
- The copying of any number of articles from a single issue where the subject matter relates to a particular theme is no longer permitted for US repertoire.
- US repertoire included in your CLA licence can no longer be supplied to health professionals or other persons requesting medical information connected to the use and support of the Licensee’s products or to external advisers in connection with legal proceedings.
- Copies of US repertoire can still be provided externally for the purposes of, or in connection with, preparing or maintaining an application for regulatory or marketing approval of products.
- Copies may continue to be used externally for regulatory and patent application purposes, subject to the usual terms and conditions.
