The new search facility allows you check whether a specific title is covered by your CLA licence.

Please note that this is a 'beta release' of the title searching facility. Whilst the information returned is accurate, the speed of the search may be a little slow in this first release.

You will first need to enter the type of licence you hold, along with the type of copying you wish to do.

Your Licence Type - Select the type of CLA Licence you hold.

Usage - Select whether you are Photocopying from a hardcopy, Scanning from a hardcopy or copying from a Digital original.

You will then need to enter the details of the Title you wish to copy. You can do this by either entering the ISBN/ISSN or by searching by title.

Searching using ‘ISBN/ISSN' (industry standard numbers)

  • Searching using the ISBN or ISSN of the publication is the quickest and most accurate way to identify a title
  • A search using an ISBN can be done with either a 13 digit or 10 digit ISBN

Searching using ‘Title Search'

  • This is a keyword search, meaning that it will find titles containing all words entered in the search criteria.
For example: A search for "British Medicine" would return all publications with the words "British" and "Medicine" in the title, such as "Division of British Medicine", "Journal of British Podiatric Medicine"

Country of Publication - To help narrow your Title search, you can also enter an optional country of publication.
