Licences for education

Our education licences provide schools, colleges and universities with the rights and coverage that staff and students need to be able to use and share published material without the risk of infringing copyright.

Student in classroom

Our licences have been developed specifically to meet particular needs across the sector and we have specific solutions for schools, colleges and universities, whether public or independent.

Some general features and benefits are listed below and more detailed information can be found by following links on the left hand menu.

Our licences enable students and teaching staff to:

Copy and share extracts or articles from millions of UK and international books, journals and magazines.

Make digital copies by scanning or retyping for distribution to pupils, parents and teachers who have access to an institutions secure network.

Use copies with digital whiteboards, VLEs and in presentations for teaching or training purposes.

Certain licences allow digital copies to be made from e-books or e-journals to be downloaded, printed out and stored by students or stored on a a VLE or course restricted intranet.

You can browse details of the different licences using the left hand menu.
