The new CLA Schools Licence, which includes enhanced rights, came into effect from April 2010. In addition to the previous photocopying and scanning permissions, the new licence provides all schools with the permission to re-use digital and website content that has been opted in to the licence. We agreed with rightsholders that the new repertoire would become available to schools from 1st October 2010. Click here to view the list Participating Digital Material Publishers for Schools

All local authorities and other representative bodies have been informed about arrangements for the new licence from 2010 onwards. To download a copy of the letter please click here.

The new CLA Schools Licence was introduced in response to demand within the schools sector that has been highlighted by our market research.
