Our agreements with the CCC allow our licensees to photocopy, scan and digitally re-use material published in the USA.

  
Specific publications included/excluded 
  • Photocopying/Scanning - Certain US publishers are excluded and their works cannot be copied - please refer to the Excluded US Publishers list below.
  • Digital originals - For the copying of digital original material, please see the relevant list of included US digital material publishers.

Other CLA Licences do not currently allow digital original material to be copied.

 

Excluded US Publishers

Not all US publishers are included in the coverage of the CLA's licences. This is a list of those US publishers that are excluded from the CLA's reciprocal agreement with the US reproduction rights organisation, the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). Works by these publishers may not be copied under any CLA licence.
