Law licence

This licence is especially tailored for law firms of any size in the UK.

The licence is available from 1 November 2008 and has been developed in consultation with The Law Society to meet the current copying needs of law firms.

The licence allows copying and emailing of articles from books, journals, magazines and law reports plus central electronic storage.

Specifically the licence enables law firms to:

  • photocopy and scan from millions of relevant books, journals and law reports
  • send copies to colleagues within your firm in the UK and overseas
  • store electronic copies centrally for access by staff on a case or project basis

This licence represents the most straightforward way for law firms to ensure compliance when copying or circulating published material.
