Definition of a professional employee Where applicable, the number of professional employees on which the licence fee is based should include the partners, officers or employees of the firm that are solicitors of the Supreme Court, barristers called to the English Bar or Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (or who hold an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction) a qualified accountant and all others holding equivalent professional qualifications ordinarily working in the United Kingdom.
