New digital licence for pharmaceutical companies
CLA has introduced a new digital copying licence especially for the pharmaceutical industry. Whether you are a small biotech, a medium sized healthcare company or a pharmaceutical multi-national, our new licence can benefit you.
The digital licence has been developed following consultation with the pharmaceutical industry and provides permissions that specifically address compliance requirements and deliver solutions to your information and regulatory needs, allowing you to store and share information efficiently and effectively. A table showing the key features and benefits of the new licence can be viewed here.
By working closely with publishers and authors, as well as our customers, we have been able to enhance the features of the licence and extend new rights to licensees. In addition to photocopying and scanning copies made from printed books, magazines and journals, the enhanced licence permits copying from digital publications including e-books and e-journals published by over 1,000 publishers such as Elsevier, Wiley Blackwell and Cambridge University Press.
It enables licensees to receive licence fee-paid copies from either a pay-per-view website or document supplier and re-use that content in exactly the same way as if you had copied your own original.
Licence holders can store those digital copies in a local product or project based database and circulate single licensed copies externally for medical information, regulatory submissions or patent applications.
Furthermore, if you are a customer of the British Library and a holder of the CLA Digital Pharmaceutical Licence, you are now able to receive licence fee paid copies electronically and without DRM protection in PDF format.
The Digital Pharmaceutical licence is available now to brand new customers or to existing licence holders that wish to upgrade.
