We are seeking to recruit an additional four Field Officers to undertake survey work in South East England, Greater London, South West England and South Wales regions. As part of its remit to reward rightsholders, CLA carries out a programme of surveys throughout each year in selections of Educational establishments, Central and Local Government, the National Health Service, the Business sector and Public Bodies across the UK. Premises are visited by Field Officers who use a variety of methodologies to gather information and data which is then used by CLA to reward rightsholders - authors, publishers and visual creators. While primarily field based roles, for those resident in Greater London and SE England, some work will also be required to be carried out at our offices in Central London.
The successful applicants will have excellent analytical, diplomacy, problem solving, influencing and decision making skills, as well as excellent communication, interviewing, interpersonal skills and significant experience of working to critical deadlines. They will be expected to join a well-established and well-motivated team who cooperate with each other on joint assignments as well as working individually on single projects.
Field Officers are employed on an annual contract and the initial probation period for new Field Officers is six months. While this is not guaranteed, the average time commitment for a Field Officer is between 50 and 100 days per year. Applicants must be mobile, have reasonable IT skills and have confidence in liaising with senior representatives of survey establishments as well as dealing with customers on a face to face or telephone basis. Field Officers are presently paid £87 per 7-hour day, plus an annual bonus and holiday pay. Travel and subsistence allowances are also payable.
